Choke Canyon State Park TX to Lake Corpus Christi State Park TX We woke up to dense fog. You couldn't even see the lake. At 8:30am there was a bird watching program. Fortunately it was a viewing area. They set out oranges, filled the feeders and the birds lined up. If it had been a walk in the woods we couldn't have seen a thing. I saw my first Green Jay, very exotic looking. We also spotted a Ladder Backed Woodpecker And a Golden Fronted Woodpecker Other sitings included Hundreds of red wing Blackbirds. Dozens of Great Tailed Grackles. Cardinals Black tufted titmouse White Tipped Dove White Winged Dove Starling And a Great Egret Before leaving we took one of the hiking trails where we sited a Long Billed Thrasher but heard lots more birds than we saw. A beautiful park. On our way out we mailed a letter at the post office in Calliham. It looked abandoned. There was no ...
